The Hamptons, with its beautiful and expansive bodies of water, lends itself well to sailing. Kids who want to be one with the water and wind have several opportunities and options during summer, thanks to these special sailing camps.

With small group sizes and a friendly staff, Sail Montauk is fun and informative for kids. “Everyone gets to sail,” says owner Alexandra “Ali” Ali, who notes that kids love the program and often come back year after year. “We have some kids that we’ve seen grow up, which is so fun.” At Sail Montauk, kids will learn the basics, from safety to navigation and equipment. And there’s time for swimming, as well. “We encourage cannonballs!” Ali says, noting campers get to cool off at the end of the day by jumping right in the water.
