The Bridgehampton corridor area is undergoing a transformation to improve pedestrian safety at several locations. The project is in full swing, and during the next few months, the Town of Southampton and New York will continue this work along or close to Montauk Highway.
Beginning Monday, February 24, the improvement project affects some parking lots within the hamlet. The town-owned parking lots at Thayer’s Hardware Store, behind Candy Kitchen and opposite the library, is the first to be improved, but at times, this work may limit access to these lots. This first phase should be completed within one week. The other lots will be scheduled for similar work.
