Mark Consuelos took home the title of People magazine’s Sexiest TV Show Host Alive for the second year running, but he insists he was rooting for his friend, fellow nominee Jimmy Fallon. On the Oct. 29 episode of LIVE with Kelly and Mark, his wife and co-host, Kelly Ripa, announced the 2024 readers’ choice winners, with Consuelos coming out on top over Seth Meyers, Mario Lopez, and Fallon. He jokingly dubbed it “the most important election of our time.”
Cheered on by the LIVE audience to give an acceptance speech, Consuelos started by shouting out his fellow Hamptons pal Fallon for his campaign strategy: “I’d like to thank all the other nominees, especially Jimmy Fallon, for putting that QR code on his television program.” He then admitted, “I did vote for Jimmy. I’m sure it was very close—I voted for him multiple times, and I think my family voted for him, but America has spoken.”
Turning to his blushing wife, Consuelos said, “Truly, the only time I feel sexy is when I’m with you.” Ripa shot back with a laugh, “That is a bunch of B.S.” When asked if he felt “sexier” after winning again, he quipped, “No, I feel exactly the same. Once you become a dad, you see yourself through your kids’ eyes—and that’s when the sexy just goes away, I think.” Ripa ended the segment with, “Thank you, People magazine, for embarrassing our children.”
Amagansett’s Andy Cohen and longtime friend Anderson Cooper are returning for a spirited — literally — New Year’s Eve with CNN’s annual celebration — and after a sober stint in 2023, it’s promising to be boozier than ever. Watch What Happens Live host Cohen, speaking with Variety in an Oct. 26 interview, confirmed, “Yes! You bet,” when asked if he and Cooper would be drinking on camera.
“After what Anderson did in that hurricane, I’m not only giving him tequila— I’m throwing it at him.” Cohen was making light of Cooper’s recent viral on-air moment during Hurricane Milton coverage in Florida, where debris struck the anchor during a broadcast. CNN previously restricted on-air drinking in 2023, reportedly at the behest of former CEO Chris Licht, following Cohen’s controversial jab a few years earlier at the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve team, calling them “a group of losers.” But this year, the network bosses are once again allowing the pair to toast the night in their trademark style.
Jennifer Lopez walked away from an autograph signing when questioned about her past relationship with jailed Sean “Diddy” Combs, who currently faces serious allegations. In a recent video posted by the Daily Mail, Lopez, 55, is seen deflecting questions about her connection to the rapper, 54, whom she dated from 1999 to 2001. She has previously described their two-year relationship as “tempestuous” and “emotionally exhausting,” citing infidelity as the cause of their breakup.
Earlier that evening, Lopez — who spent the summer at her East Hampton hideaway amid her divorce from Ben Affleck — attended the AFI FEST 2024 Unstoppable screening and Q&A in Los Angeles. While signing autographs, a fan asked, “Any comments about Diddy and the allegations?” Lopez quickly left, brushing off fans asking her to stay. She and Diddy — known for his infamous White Parties at his Hamptons estate — were one of the late ’90s’ most high-profile couples. Reflecting on that intense romance back in 2011, Lopez said, “We broke up many times … and got back together. Towards the end, it was emotionally exhausting. It was good that I was young.”

At the recent Town & Country Philanthropy Summit, Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay spoke candidly on self-compassion and vulnerability, revealing the advice she’d give her younger self. Reflecting turning 60, Hargitay told People magazine, “I wish I had more compassion for all parts of myself. I wasted too much time going, ‘They have this. I wish I had that.’”
Explaining how her outlook has changed, she explained: “Vulnerability … is my superpower. I think it just saves so much time.” She said that we all have brave parts, scared parts, and everything in between, adding, “I respect the whole person—not just one part.” The East Hampton resident emphasized how patience and curiosity have helped her connect with others, too. “Everyone wants to feel seen,” she continued. “So when somebody’s tights or harsh, they’re just afraid … As soon as you point out a similarity, their fear dissipates.” She concluded, “Vulnerability is the glue that brings people together.”

A New Mexico judge has rejected a request to reinstate criminal charges against Amagansett’s Alec Baldwin in the Rust movie set shooting that claimed the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in Oct. 2021.
